Yes, but wether the commodity needs to be fumigated or not as per Plant Protection Quarantine and Storage guidelines.
For Example : Sugar, Soil are not to be fumigated.
For Domastic we use ALP.
For International Export we use MBR.
For ALP 120 to 144 hrs. of exposure.
For MBR 24 hrs. of exposure.
Australia and New Zealand Quarantine - These countries have their own quarantine rules and regulations. Hence they define their own standard and care must be taken to check if the PCO is Australia and New Zealand approved / listed.
Symptoms - Nausea, Vommating, Dizziness, Eye Irritation, Breathlessness.
First Aid - Wash your exposed skin area gently with mild soap. Give victim artificial respiration and immediate medical attention.
All safty gear is mandatory for the fumigation operatior and his associates. Till the time, the fumigation agency doesnt aerates the endosure, it should be quarantined.
